dance art and age(ing)
The expressiveness of dancers with life experience
We all age during lifetime. The focus here is on the very special and unique dance possibilities that have unfolded in the course of life.
Dance art in old age is (thank God) becoming more and more natural. Why should one also stop at some point to live out the dynamics and liveliness and to promote the very individual expressiveness that radiates from bodies with life experience?
When lived life is allowed to show itself in dance, that is something wonderful.
In search of an idiosyncratic aesthetic
Personally, I am convinced that it is absolutely important to say goodbye to the dogma of the “faster-higher-better-madness”, because only then you can focus on the beauty of the subtle and you become more sensitive to details and nuances.
